Image
Quality
The majority of images (numbered 1001 onwards) are
3072 x 2048 pixels, 260mm x 173mm print size @ 300
pixels/inch, although these images have been litho
printed at A4 size at an acceptable quality.
Images numbered 1-1000 are 2560 x 1920 pixels, and are supplied at a print size
of 216mm x 162mm @ 300 pixels/inch.
If you want to enlarge these images up to 1600% with no discernable loss of quality
check out Extensis pxl SmartScale http://www.extensis.com/en/products/
All images are digital therefore there is less noise as they are not scanned
from negatives or transparencies, there is no film grain, dust or scratches.
In order for the images to be e-mailable, they are high quality JPEGs, most of
which are approximately 3MB size, which have no discernable loss of quality compared
to 18MB TIFF files. Customers may wish to adjust images to their personal preferences
in Photoshop or other software. All images are supplied in RGB. |

About Us
We needed to source images of everyday UK environment and countryside
scenes and were struggling to find a good range at sensible prices, so we decided
to create our own photo library. The site is especially
useful for designers, publishers, environmental and tourism organisations,
and businesses working in the environmental sector. New images are being
